4 Common Dashboard Warning Lights

‘Check Engine’ Light
This light might be in the shape of an engine, or it might be the lit-up words “check engine.” Engine issues may be as easy to fix as a loose wire, but it could also indicate a more serious problem, such as engine failure. If you see this warning, it’s important to take your car to a mechanic for a diagnostic test.
Oil Light
The oil light on your car may appear with the words “change oil soon,” or it may be the shape of an oil can with a small drop of oil. As you might have guessed, this means it’s time to change the oil.
Battery Indicator Light
Your dashboard’s battery indicator light will likely look like a square battery with the plus and minus symbols. It could mean it’s time for a new battery or that there are electrical issues with your vehicle. It’s best to have your car checked out by a professional when this indicator light comes on.
Tire Pressure Light
Typically, this looks like a yellow tire with an exclamation point, and it means at least one of your tires needs more air. It’s also possible the light indicates an issue with your car’s tire pressure sensors. You can stop at a gas station with an air pump or use a portable tire inflator to get the pressure where it needs to be.
